While Audi has a nearly full swing test serial R8 e-tron, the Chinese showed their version of the electric sports car during the auto show in Beijing. In the futuristic concept car motifs to the naked eye can discern the outlines of R8. Worked on the design of Dan Darancou, the portfolio of projects which several General Motors. Meals provide a lithium-ion battery, a charge which is enough for 150 kilometers. Mass production is not planned because the company CH-Auto Research Center is more than a full-fledged automaker.

Some designers like their cars to be complex and overly aggressive in their details while others prefer to keep things sleek and simple. Overall, we find Mares’ Aston Martin V8 Vantage to be a handsome concept and are especially fond of the super clean and minimalistic front- and rear-end designs.

BMW i8 – Sports Concept, which is an experimental model of car to be launched in 2014 and built at BMW Plant in Leipzig. This is a hybrid electric sports car with an extended range of distances. BMW i8 uses a nearly identical 170-hp electric motor, as in the BMW i3, i8 but it transfers power to the front wheels. In the back of the set to turn the wheels of the real three-cylinder internal combustion engine that produces 164 kW/220 hp and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft). Dual methods of movement are combined to give the BMW i8 405 lb-ft of torque and 350 horsepower, which should allow him to easily accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 5 seconds.

This concept does look interesting. Power comes from a 100-kilowatt electric motor that gets its juice from a 96-cell lithium-phosphate battery. Range is estimated at around 180 kilometers (or about 112 miles). The weight is rather low, at just 980 kg.  The wheels and the Recaro seats are provided by OZ. Sbarro Intencity remains a sports car that catches the eye with its innovative, futuristic design, and I think no one would mind if some of its elements were to be used on other vehicles.

The prototype is based on the Plus 8 but features a Zytek electric motor and a lithium-ion battery which enables it to travel up to 120 miles (193 km) on a single charge. All told, the motor develops 160 bhp (120 kW / 162 PS) and 380 Nm (280 lb/ft) of torque. It is connected to a five-speed manual transmission which allows the 1,250 kg (2,756 lbs) roadster to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 115 mph (185 km/h). It will be a fantastic car to drive.

Conceptualization of the ‘Duo’, an electric vehicle infused with convenient advanced technologies. The sleek, edgy lines ultimately encompass a definitively stylish geometric shape of the car. This unique 3m long and 1.8m wide form is interspersed with large windows and windshield for improved all round view of the driver. Finally, the zesty demeanor is complimented by cornered LED headlights for greater efficiency and better visibility. There is interactive systems for optimized driving experience. These include Integrated Network Systems (INS), Driver Assistance System (DAS) and finally Energy Management System (EMS). INS refers to a standard language of a wide spectrum of networks, which enhances our connection with real time info and updates. On the other hand, DAS insinuates artificially intelligent guidance software integrated with the Duo, which is similar to the SIRI app of iPhone. Car will have a Lithium Metal Polymer battery pack for increased range.

It a concept car called Houston Moon Walker, made out of plastic panels and steel frames. Moon Walker is electrically operated and is ideal for homes that are equipped with solar panels. The concept car uses the energy stored from these panels to recharge itself during the night. When daylight dawns, it is ready to ferry you to your destination.  When the Moon Walker hits a speed of 65 mph, aerodynamics help lift 70 percent of its body weight. This reduces the amount of energy needed to drive the car. Car has designed the vehicle for Houston’s roads which are mostly straight so the Moon Walker can easily travel at speeds of 60-85 mph. The intelligent design incorporates a computer that calculates the amount of weight on each tire to control the exact lift needed. When the brakes are hit, downforce and grip are generated for optimum control.

Toyota unveiled its next generation of plug-in hybrid cars NS4 concept car. Introduced under the banner of ‘Vision of the Future 2015″ the NS4 sports new, more aggressive front end styling and a sweeping side profile. The fuel efficiency is expected to be around 2.2 liter/100 km and the hybrid would only emit 49 grams of CO2 per kilometer of driving. The NS4 will be fitted with an improved version of the Toyota Synergy Drive system that is expected to be lighter, to give the NS4 improved fuel economy and faster acceleration compared to the Prius. The Lithium-Ion battery capacity continues to be small at 5.2 kWH which means that the drive range on electric motors would only be about 20 km, the same as the Prius. The NS4 also has the next generation safety features with millimeter-wave-radar signals and cameras for lane departure warnings and rear-end collision avoidance. In the event of accident with a pedestrian, the bonnet pops up to reduce injury to the person. The headlight beams are moderated to reduce glare and blind-spot monitors are provided.The NS4 signals that Toyota believes the plug-in hybrid technology will continue to dominate in the near term.
